Uranus in Evolutionary Astrology: Meaning, Shadow and Medicine
Uranus: from dissociation to liberation.
I made this one for all of you carrying Uranus, which is everyone, since it lives somewhere in every chart. What most are taught is that Uranus is sudden, disruptive and unexpected. What I love about Uranus is that it's the pathway to your own liberation, and that it's also where we find the lost parts of ourself, so reclaiming them is the liberation. Uranus rules Aquarius, so this one's the partner to the Aquarius post.

Uranus, in words
What it feels like: The lightning bolt.
Uranus is a fast, activating, potent energy. It's the lightning bolt, but it also reminds me of a roller coaster: Whoa! This is fast, and I'm on a ride that I can't control.
Uranus is connected to the nervous system and the kundalini energy. People can feel very wired, energized and buzzing in body and mind.
What most are taught: Sudden disruption.
What most are taught is that Uranus is sudden, disruptive and unexpected. Things come out of nowhere. All true, but this framing makes Uranus sound like an adversary.
Go deeper and Uranus is the pathway to your own liberation. Saturn is the structure of what we know, and Uranus says: oh, wait, there's a whole bunch that you don't know.
The overflow: Liberation.
We all have a creative genius. We have something that only we can do and express in our own way, and we're meant to find that.
When we decondition, when we let go of the past and just stand in our truth, that's Uranus. It's the next level.
Pay attention to the repeating ideas, the repeating desires, because these are the messages from our soul.
The overwhelm: Dissociation.
Uranus is entirely the mind, dissociated and disconnected from emotion and even body. We can know things and still feel attached, because the emotions take longer to process than the mind.
Our body may not be able to catch up, and that is where shock happens.
That is where I really value the somatic practices, where we can use our mind to drop into the body.
How it ripens: Around 42.
Uranus spends about 7 years in each house: a slow, relentless, 84-year arc of liberation moving through every dimension of life.
Around 42 comes the Uranus opposition, a major up-leveling into being confident with who we truly are.
Get down to your unique self and reach your genius. People are like: wow, I'm really just starting to see who I am.
The highest
Uranus represents the soul's deep need to individuate and break free from anything that is keeping it smaller than its actual nature.
Uranus is our path to liberation, but it is also where we can find trauma: the lost parts of ourself. This is the Uranus path.
That reclamation is the liberation, when we reclaim our true self.
