Taurus in Evolutionary Astrology: Here to Receive

Taurus is here to receive.

I made this one for all of you carrying Taurus, which is everyone, since it lives somewhere in every chart. What most are taught is grounded and stable. What I love about Taurus is the good life: the chocolate, the cozy pillows, and taking its time to nurture a moment. Its remedy is Scorpio, the sign across the wheel, which shocks it out of its complacency.

Taurus is here to receive: the cover slide Taurus, what it feels like: Fixed earth Taurus, what most are taught: Grounded and stable Taurus, the joy of carrying it: The good life Taurus, the good work: Open to receive Taurus, the shadow: The frog in the well Taurus, the highest intention

Taurus, in words

What it feels like: Fixed earth.

Taurus is slow and deliberate. It's the bull in the field, so happy all day long, just sitting there in the sunshine.

In the body it says: I am stable, I am calm, I am at peace. I have what I need, and it feels good.

It's the oak tree: I'm so firmly rooted, you can rely on me. There's a juicy yumminess about being that solid.

What most are taught: Grounded and stable.

What most people learn about Taurus to begin with is earth: grounded, fixed, stable, self-oriented. All of that is there.

Go deeper and Taurus comes out of Aries, so it can hold a fiery essence, and it's heading toward Gemini, so the seed of Gemini is in it. Taurus can be so smart.

It's cultivating inner silence, and there's a lot of wisdom in that realm.

The joy of carrying it: The good life.

Taurus is the chocolate, the cozy pillows, everything beautiful all around you. It smells good, looks good, tastes good. It's the good life.

In Taurus we get to cling and hold on and love things that much. Those shoes mean something, and that's okay.

It takes its time to nurture a moment, because the best nap is when all the blankets are clean.

The good work: Open to receive.

Taurus is all about expanding our capacity to receive. We need to be able to pour into ourselves, and to allow others to give to us.

What's being alchemized here is resistance. We can resist receiving: I don't want to do that. It's too much. Our nervous system can't handle more.

So we remind ourselves: I'm open to receive. Taurus creates pathways to pleasure and comfort.

The shadow: The frog in the well.

The frog in the well looks up and only sees that sky. There's a lot more sky, but the frog says: No, I'm good.

Fixed earth can get stagnant, withhold, hoard: This is mine. I'm not going to share.

The remedy is Scorpio, its opposite, which shocks Taurus out of its complacency. Someone comes along and says: Time to reveal.

The highest intention

Taurus is the ultimate sovereignty: I am anchored in my values. Even if I feel lost, I know I have an anchor.

In its highest expression Taurus is fully in touch with its resources, its worth, its self-sufficiency. It knows it can create its own abundance.

Within the Taurus there's that little dot that is Scorpio. So Taurus receives, and lets someone in.
