Sagittarius in Evolutionary Astrology: Here to See the Horizon

Sagittarius is here to see the horizon.

I made this one for all of you carrying Sagittarius, which is everyone, since it lives somewhere in every chart. What most are taught is the traveler and the philosopher. What I love about Sagittarius is that it just knows. It went into the forest, and the trees told it. Its remedy is Gemini, the sign across the wheel, because it doesn't always have to be deep.

Sagittarius, in words

What it feels like: Up, up, up.

Sagittarius is a very up energy: up, up, up. Ascend, transform, expand, go beyond.

It's standing on the peak of the mountain at sunrise after the climb out of the underworld, looking at the horizon: wow, look at all of this.

It's fire. Let's go, let's have fun, let's spin fire and dance and stay up late. When we go for a walk in nature, we can receive.

What most are taught: The traveler.

What most are taught about Sagittarius is the traveler and the philosopher, higher study, other cultures. All of that is true.

Go deeper and Sagittarius is the one who just knows. It hasn't learned it, necessarily. It's tapped into truth. It's intuition at its highest.

Scorpio knows because it went into the depths and found it. Sagittarius went into the forest, and the trees told it.

The joy of carrying it: This too will pass.

Sagittarius carries faith and hope. We can all trust that when we're in the worst situation, we will come out of it.

It brings us back up again: there's potential and inspiration and heights we can soar to, beyond the depths.

It's the happy-go-lucky one, not holding a grudge, moving on, seeing the silver lining. There's optimism, and there's joy, and there's fun.

The good work: Aim the arrow.

Sagittarius is the arrow, aiming toward the goal. I see what's on the horizon, and I go forth, into the possibility and the potential.

Where Gemini doesn't want to choose, Sagittarius says: no, I'm gonna go a path, I'm gonna commit.

And it can hold a higher vision for people to reach, because the higher potential always exists.

The shadow: The preacher on the soapbox.

Sagittarius found the truth, and now it needs to convince everybody of it. The high horse, the one with all the answers. The exaggeration: there were 100, when there were actually 20.

Points of view can become like a prison.

The remedy is Gemini, its opposite: connecting on a basic level, the everyday chit-chat. It doesn't always have to be deep.

The highest intention

Sagittarius returns us to the light. It's the wizard with the wand: I'm gonna shift reality.

There are infinite possibilities, and the higher potential always exists. Sagittarius reaches for it, and asks one of my favorite questions: what else is possible?

So Sagittarius sees the horizon, and learns to make small talk about the apples too.
