Neptune in Evolutionary Astrology: Meaning, Shadow and Medicine

Neptune: from chaos to divine inspiration.

I made this one for all of you carrying Neptune, which is everyone, since it lives somewhere in every chart. What most are taught is illusion and escapism. What I love about Neptune is that it's our own personal doorway into feeling one and the same with the creative forces of life, and that you can be totally masterful there and still feel like you don't know what you're doing. Neptune rules Pisces, so this one's the partner to the Pisces post.

Neptune, in words

What it feels like: The cosmic sea.

Neptune is like being in the cosmic sea of life, where everything is just floating by us like a dream. There is no gravity to ground us.

A very Neptunian person is going to be highly sensitive. They're receptive, they're going to pick up everything, filter it through them, process it.

The "high" one can feel can be a gift. Some will not know how to come down.

What most are taught: The fog.

What most are taught about Neptune is illusion and escapism. All of that is in there.

Go deeper and Neptune is our own personal doorway into a place where we can feel that we are one and the same with the creative forces of life.

I say it's the enigma. You can be totally masterful there and still feel: I don't know what I'm doing.

The overflow: Divine inspiration.

Neptune is infinite creative potential. When we think about the artist and the genius, you're going to find a strong Neptune. How do you even have that talent? They're just tapping.

Neptune is also the dream come true. It is going to bring us into something bigger, into the unimaginable, like: Oh my God, you're living the dream.

The overwhelm: Chaos.

Neptune is the chaos of the powers outside of us that we can't control. Wherever Neptune is, there can be a sense of powerlessness: it's too big, it's too vast, how do I do this?

The shadow of Neptune is spiritual bypassing and escapism. We are here to expand our capacity.

I have to keep reminding myself: this is amazing, I have so many choices.

How it ripens: Around 40.

Around thirty-nine and forty, Neptune comes exactly 90 degrees to your Neptune. Everyone goes through this. It's when we confront the delusions that stand between us and the dreams we have been carrying.

Surrendering can be quite chaotic: why is this happening? It's also a very highly spiritual energy, and at the height it is tapping incredible creative energy.

The highest

The lesson of Neptune is that we are spiritual beings having a human experience.

You don't know grief until you lose something that you so deeply care about. Neptune is the highest compassion that we don't actually know until we know.

The more understanding you get, the more compassionate you get, and you start to live your life in a wiser way.
