Capricorn in Evolutionary Astrology: Here to Lead

Capricorn is here to lead.

I made this one for all of you carrying Capricorn, which is everyone, since it lives somewhere in every chart. What most are taught is the career house. What I love about Capricorn is that it's about learning how to self-lead, and about the things we can only earn ourselves. Its remedy is Cancer, the sign across the wheel: you can relax.

Capricorn, in words

What it feels like: I stand.

Capricorn is the bones, the structure, the spine. In the body it says: I stand as a responsible being.

It's the mountain we climb, the effort it takes to actually survive and maintain life. We have to do things. We can't not do things.

No one gives us posture in life. Nobody can give us integrity or devotion. That is only ever cultivated.

What most are taught: The career house.

Almost anything you look up about the 10th house will tell you it's the house of career. And it is. It's the world stage, the CEOs, the founders.

Go deeper and Capricorn is about establishing your own personal authority, sovereignty within a social context.

We don't all get to a level of leadership in that sense. We all do need to learn how to self-lead.

The joy of carrying it: Earned.

Capricorn knows the best of life is gained through effort: integrity, victory, only the things that we ourselves can earn.

When we earn them, we just become an amazing human being, because it took what it took out of us.

Then people start gravitating to you, because you're capable, because you have lived experience. You naturally become a provider.

The good work: Do what you say.

If I say I'm going to do this, and then I don't do it, then I learn that I can't trust myself.

How you do things when you're alone is how you do things. That's the 10th house, a standard of being.

Mastery of leadership is being able to direct our power where it needs to go: I can have a vision, and I can bring it into form.

The shadow: Too much weight.

In its shadow Capricorn dominates: rigid containers of conformity, do as I say, not as I do. It bears too much, and it gets heavy.

From the shamanic perspective, depression is a signal that something is off, something suppressed in our very own nature.

The remedy is Cancer, its opposite. You don't have to take responsibility for everything. You can relax.

The highest intention

Capricorn is the juncture where the personal will unites with the divine will. It's not just about me.

In its highest form it's emotionally responsible, caring for each one in the way they need. That's the Divine Father.

The height of Capricorn, like the Christ consciousness, is to be led by the heart. So Capricorn leads, and listens to its heart.
